Manager’s Message – August 2009
Recent renovations at The Charter Club of Marco Beach have the resort looking the best it's ever looked! We wrapped up kitchen renovations in June and now have all 80 units completed. Near the end of August, contractors will be on site to begin the “punch-out” phase of the project. All of the minor issues will be resolved and last-minute details addressed.
Previously, we had scheduled living room renovations to begin this year. However, after careful review, we determined there would not be enough time to create a model unit prior to starting the project. The Board of Directors, along with the Decorating Committee and management, felt it would be better to construct a model unit first and push the actual renovations back to the spring of 2010. By doing this, we will also be able to create a model unit that combines the upgrades to the living rooms with planned improvements to the master bedrooms and dining rooms. The model unit should be completed in time for the Budget Meeting scheduled for November 3 and 4. The Board and Decorating Committee will get to review the model at that time and make any changes or recommendations, and we will begin the entire project in May of 2010.
In the next owner newsletter, scheduled for publication just prior to the Budget Meeting, we will include a timeline of the projects for your planning purposes. One building will be completed in the spring (May/June 2010) and the other in the fall (August/September 2010), which means that all 80 units will be finished in one year. Keep any eye on this website, where we'll post photos of the model unit around the first week of November.
